The Legend of the Devil’s Bridge - La Leyenda del Puente del Diablo (2026) is a site‑specific production where contemporary Flamenco becomes the driving force of a multidisciplinary artistic experience. Commissioned by Martorell’s Municipality, the project reinterprets the local story of the Devil’s Bridge through original music, choreography, and visual art that highlights the Roman structure’s power and beauty.

The production is created by Los Ricos, a Spanish company based in New York, formed by dancer Sonia Olla, and singer Ismael Fernández, along with filmmaker Pedro Valiente, choreographer Marco de Ana, and musician Robert ‘Robi’ Svärd.

The 13 version of the legend brings together over 100 participants in large‑scale scenic actions that blend local artists, folk figures, and judo players, featuring three dance schools and five cultural associations. It turns into an immersive, ground-breaking look at a historic narrative —positioning Flamenco at the center of an international, and community‑driven project. I FFW

The project began with a phone call from New York. Sonia Olla and Ismael Fernández, Los Ricos, reached out to me as a former collaborator of Robert Wilson. The journey has now landed at the foot of a beautiful landmark in Barcelona. And at the heart of many people.
