STORY 「 WHAT WE SEE 」

Project I Future

This is the story of a woman who challenges the Devil to make a dream come true. She embodies the collective strength of her people; he, despite his menace, becomes the spark for their triumph.
— The Company

Through visceral dance and original song, Legend of the Devil’s Bridge (2026) unfolds into an interdisciplinary stage production. The show connects with community life, showing that beyond good and evil, the human soul possesses an infinite capacity to build its dreams.

It’s a creation by the company Los Ricos, Sonia Olla (dance) and Ismael Fernández (voice), featuring dance schools l’espai Dansa, Escola de Dansa El Progrés, and Dance Arts Factory; martial arts club Judo Club Martorell; and popular culture groups Colla de Gegants de Martorell, Colla de Diables i Dracs de Martorell, and Capgrossos de Martorell.

Artists and Citizens Invoke a Common Culture

Legend of the Devil’s Bridge (2026)

The story, the project, and the process have been an inspiring, multicultural journey —one that bridges global creative hubs with deep local roots. Born from an international collaboration between the New York-based company Los Ricos, a core creative team in Madrid and Barcelona, and seven cultural organizations from Martorell, the project thrives on the diverse energy of its cast and crew.

This massive public event fuels a unique vision of contemporary Flamenco, blending original music, vast stage actions, and large-scale visual art. At its heart, the show represents a new shift in interdisciplinary performance, turning local culture into an immersive, community-driven experience.” I Pedro Valiente
