“Coordinating International Relations at New York Film Academy, I supported upcoming filmmakers. When I write that I've worked in over twenty countries, it was mostly through NYFA. As program leader for BA (Hons) Contemporary Media Practice at Arts University Plymouth, I started outreach projects: Media Lab, MIXarts, and Ulysses. Coordinating media for Crossing Stages Universidad Carlos III de Madrid arts project co-funded by the European Union, I coordinated media work that received international recognition. Directing Cancun Riviera Maya International Film Festival, we built a ground-breaking project in Southeast Mexico. “Innovation has guided Pedro Valiente's work reshaping media and the arts through cross-cultural collaboration, cutting-edge education, and vision across global platforms —each role has served as a canvas to reimagine the way media is created, taught, and experienced.
NEW YORK FILM ACADEMY, US I As International Relations director, outreach work was at the heart of building strategic activities across countries, with focus in Ibero America. This role involved pioneering partnerships that brought global talent into dialogue with NYFA's world-class resources, expanding the school’s multicultural reach, including universities, film schools, and media.
ARTS UNIVERSITY PLYMOUTH, UK I As BA (Hons) Contemporary Media Practice program leader, I helped to develop a program to meet the challenges of a digital, post-linear media environment. By integrating emerging technologies, and critical theory, the new degree was transformed into a dynamic hub, fostering a new generation of hybrid film/media creatives.
UNIVERSIDAD CARLOS III DE MADRID, Spain I Working as Crossing Stages. European Project media director, I aimed to connect performing arts with visual arts. Through installations, digital art, and transmedia storytelling, the project entered interdisciplinary art in higher education, amplifying voices from countries across Europe, and weaving media into the very fabric of live art, and the project itself.
CANCUN RIVIERA MAYA INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL, Mexico I As International Film Festival director, this new event was set as a regional showcase for new voices. Curating programs on operas primas, and eco-cinema, the Festival served as cultural bridge for Latin American filmmakers with industry leaders and audiences. It was featured internationally in over 2000 articles/notes in 200 media.
TELEVISA, Mexico I Working as Espacio Cine (Film Space) Film/TV Event director, I contributed to a vital forum for discovery and development within Latin America's largest media network. By creating spaces for dialogue between students, creators, and industry professionals, Espacio Cine connected broadcast media and independent cinema. It was attended by over 6000 university students each year.” — PV

Rethinking Media and the Arts
“At the intersection of culture and industry, these projects opened space for new voices and regional narratives to connect with international audiences. Through curatorial vision and strategic coordination, these platforms bridged independent creation, media, and academic centers.”
“These projects have empowered new generations of artists and thinkers to create beyond conventional languages —reflecting a drive to rethink media and the arts through global engagement, and interdisciplinary education.
The journey spans over twenty countries. From launching a media program in the UK. and directing media in a European arts project, to building Ibero American partnerships at a film school in New York, the focus has been on expanding access, and collaboration.”
