In the Spirit of the Black Mountain College
“Supporting multicultural and interdisciplinary collaboration, I’ve worked across disciplines in academic and cultural institutions —whether in a university, a film festival or an international project.
My work looks at narratives with a focus on the educational potential of creative processes. It is a form of using forward-thinking in the arts to transform collective experiences.”
LEARNING MAKING I Knowledge is most deeply understood when it's actively constructed. It encourages learners to engage with materials, ideas, and hands-on work —to fail, reflect, and grow. University becomes a dynamic space of discovery, where intellect and intuition foster critical thinking.
BLACK MOUNTAIN COLLEGE I “Set in North Carolina (1933-1956), this experimental school redefined education. Rooted in the idea that art and life are inseparable, it nurtured a spirit of interdisciplinary exploration, collaboration, and radical openness. Students and faculty lived, worked, and created together, dissolving traditional hierarchies and encouraging mutual influence. The college became a crucible for contemporary art, launching the careers of groundbreaking artists, poets, and thinkers. Making was a way of being, a spirit of continual becoming fueled by curiosity, courage, and community.” — BMC Museum
